Requirements:
You do not have to be online to take our course, however you will need the Internet available to access our
Student Area, Online Chats and other online areas.

You are required to have the
following items to take this medical transcription course:

Digital foot pedal

Medical dictionary book or CD (Stedman's or Dorland's
is preferred)
-
AHDI Book of Style 3rd edition
-
AHDI Book of Style Student Workbook 3rd
edition
-
You will need a
computer with MS Windows & Microsoft Word on it. (The computer must have MS Windows on it; our
course does not work on a MAC computer.)
Most of our course
plans come with everything you will need with the exception of a computer and MS Word. You will need to have
these items.
What is the difference between Course #2 Bonus and Course #3
Ultimate?
Course 2 Bonus comes with
the mandatory books and a digital foot pedal for taking our medical transcription training. It
is our smallest complete medical transcription course.
Course 2 bonus is a good choice for those that have either worked in the medical transcription career in
the past or have had some medical transcription training. Course #2 Bonus does not have all of the
extra reference books that are in the Course #3
Ultimate option.
For
example: If you are an MT that has done medical transcription in the past with cassette tapes
and want to get updated training in “DIGITAL” medical
transcription then the Course #2 Bonus would be the best choice.
If you do not have any prior medical transcription knowledge or
experience then you might want to go with the Course #3 Ultimate option to get the best medical transcription
training possible.
Course 3 Ultimate is our largest complete course. It has all the
mandatory books and a digital foot pedal. It also comes with extra medical transcription reference
books and CDs. You will need your own computer with MS Windows & MS Word.
If you decide to go with Course #2 Bonus you
will complete training in the medical transcription career field, you
just won't get the extra reference books or extra CDs that are in the Course 3 Ultimate.
If you decide later on that you would like to have the extra reference books and CDs that
are included with Course #3 Ultimate you can always purchase them at a later date.
Course 1
(Used Course) does not have everything you will need and does require
you to purchase some items on your own if you do not already own them. Each course offers the ability to add
extra items if you want to.

to get updated material such as current textbook, CDs, Etc. This could involve additional costs for updating your
course materials.
